A Taste of Colour!
A Taste of Colour is nearly upon us at Generation Church!
I’m really excited. Generation Church is hosting “A Taste of Colour”
Getting settled
I’ve been getting settled today in our new Media Centre at Generation Church. Located up on a second sealed off section at the back of the main auditorium, it’s here where all media related work gets done at Generation. Ps Owen Shannon (the worship Pastor) and I have been virtual nomads for the last little while as major changes have been completed at the church. It’s nice to get settled into your own space so you can really get down to hard work. I love change, I’m a fullon change junkie, I love to see the kingdom of God move forward with more and more decisions for Jesus every week.
Recent changes at Generation in the last two weeks:
- New Media Centre
- New Air-Conditioning system put in
- Sound desk moved downstairs
- Everywhere in the Auditorium has been painted with awesome colours
- Fog machine for Sunday night!
- Three new projectors – two wing projectors and one in the foyer
Changes to come this week:
- Two new video cameras and live switching system
- New sound and lighting booth at rear of auditorium being built
HHB puts FlashRAM Recorder into a Microphone!
This has to be the ultimate PodCasting Gadget.
HHB has developed a flash memory based microphone with a Sennheiser head (my favourite mic company). It has an impressive 1Gb of flash memory and easy to use controls with an LCD readout for monitoring levels and battery usage.
It’s designed for roving reporters, but I think it could be the ultimate PodCasting accessory!
No more fussing around with line levels, headsets and tricky audio editing software.
All you have to do is download the MP3 or Wav files using the supplied USB cable (you can choose from a variety of formats), and upload to your podcast.

Tech Pastor
Not that I’m big on titles or positions, but Ps Andrew and Vanessa have appointed me Tech Pastor @ Generation Church! So I’ll be starting fulltime in two weeks! I’m so excited to be on fulltime at church and so soon. If you had told me that I would be in fulltime ministry a year ago I would have laughed… and then said oh wow, that’s amazing.
Also of note, it has been one year since I signed up with Generation Church. It’s been the biggest ride of my life!
